How do I setup Rational insight to be able to email reports?
How do I setup Rational insight to be able to email reports? I have a customer who ran a report and wants to email it, He clicks on email report, and the dialog box opens and it has his email address and the report and when you click to send it, he never gets a report. I can't find where in Rational Insight or cognos to set the mail server up.

In Cognos Configuration, you must configure your mail server on the 'Notification' tab. My values look like:
SMTP Mail Server: mailhost:port Account and password: (empty) Default sender: email@address

You have to go into IBM Cognos Administration (IBM Rational Reporting -> IBM Cognos -> IBM Cognos Configuration) and configure mail server under the notifications section. Should work then (you may have to restart server for it to take affect - I don't remember for sure).
