Insight on 32 bits platform?

Cesar Ida (4222) | asked Jun 10 '14, 11:04 a.m.
Hi, I am not able to find the install files for Rational Insight for 32 bits platform. In previous versions, it would only work on 32 bits. I guess now it is the opposite, it only works on 64 bits?

Best regards.
Cesar

Hello Cesar,

correct, starting with Insight 1.1.1.3 / RRDI 2.0.5 (that is the base component of Insight) only 64 bits OS are supported.

See :
New in Rational Reporting for Development Intelligence 2.0.5 / Operating System Support
https://jazz.net/downloads/RRDI/releases/2.0.5?p=news#TOC_B

Starting in RRDI 2.0.5 release, RRDI does not support 32-bit operating systems any more, to be consistent with the corresponding Collaborative Lifecycle Management products.

What about the developer tools? I installed in 64 bits and the "IBM Cognos" windows programs menu did not appear (I started "IBM Cognos Configuration" through command line). In 32 bits all the tools showed correctly in programs menu.

Hello Cesar,

the Developer Tools installation works fine on 64bit versions of windows.
Compared to old version maybe the location in the windows start menu changed.
In my 1.1.1.3 system on Win2008 64bit it shows like this:
