How does "Add Depends Upon" work in the Add Links
Is it possible to create some sort of dependency between work items using the "Add Depends On" link in the link tabs work item or it is just a notation signifying a dependency. There is no documentation for this feature. I tried using this but I could Close the work item without closing the dependent work item which implies that it is just a notation and not really a dependency.
Kindly clarify ? |

Unfortunately not much of help on the depend feature itself..., Looks like its just for reporting use only

Sorry , i looked at the second link later on. As mentioned currently it is not enforced in RTC .. so its more notational . Hope this gets addressed in near future. Thanks for the info.
