Hi Team

I am looking for the core information relating to the architecture, mapping, user authentication using the Rational Adapter for HP ALM QC and CLM.

I am aware of the Integration and searching for any pointers for the documentation, articles for the following queries.
> Adapter Administrators - the Adapter users created in the Adapter interface to authenticate in HP ALM?
> HP ALM authentication - explain how the adapter handles user authentication when the CLM user opens HP ALM artifact?
> CLM authentication - explain how the adapter handles user authentication when the HP ALM user opens CLM artifact?
> HP ALM / CLM PA mapping - explain how HP ALM QC and CLM instance/project(s) are mapped within an adapter instance?

Hello Rosa,

Thank you for your response. However, both of these links do not answer any of the queries specific to the Architecture, mapping or user authentication.

The developer works article you have provided gives a detailing of the use cases that can be performed from RRC to HP ALM via the adapter and RTC to HP ALM via the adapter. However, it does not describe any topology between the CLM PA mapping to the HP ALM PA mapping via the adapter.

Hi Yash

The adapter delegates authentication to the corresponding application where the data resides (CLM or HP).  Admin users in the adapter are authenticated against HP.
