Hi, 
I'd like to know if it's possible to create one or more custom attachment field in order to atttach different kind of documents in different tab. 
Is it possible?

no.. there is only one list of attachments on a workitem.. so only one place to list them

If you add custom attachment field, you will see all attachment files in both or more attachment field. there is no way to put some files in one field and some others to another.

We see some other users having similar request/needs. I could not find any existing enhancement request on that, you may want to raise one from RFE community: http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/

What if we try with an extension?

Is there a way to create a field type with extensions that inherits from attachments field type?
Any example?

currently there is no way to add a new data type.  attachments are not a field type.
