The question summary sums it up pretty well - I use the sandbox for educational purposes. In some videos I have seen they use a predefined template which is an example application with defined structure, modules, artifacts, etc. When I try to deploy predefined template I receive the following error

"Error deploying predefined process templates to the repository.hide details
User "rextor1" does not have the required permission to perform the following operation: create a process template in the repository. The "JazzProjectAdmins" repository permission is required to perform this operation."

I have no way to change the permissions my account has. Is there any way to import an example app to the sandbox?

I'm afraid there is any trick that non admin user can perform not permitted action. If so, it should be severe security violation :)
