Components required for accessing work items & source fi

We are working on an academic project at Carnegie Mellon University. We are extending Team concert. We are gethering information about different client-side components (packages) we would have to use in order to read/save workitems and source files. We referred to the work-item examples and we've figured out some of the components. However, we are seeking for help from the experts.

Any help on this is appreciated.
