Milan Krivic (98013176143) | asked Mar 12 '09, 8:45 a.m.
Hi,

I downloaded latest version of RTC 1.0.1.1 and I can't find anywhere in extracted folder file diskTag.inf, and when I start installation without administration rights, I got message that IM couldn't find any repository connection!

Can someone help?

There are two versions available for download..

* Installation Manager Web install for client, server, and optional components: This archive file contains the Installation Manager launchpad program and the predefined installation repository locations. This is a self-extracting file that starts the IBM Installation Manager launchpad program after extracting the contents. The benefit of using the Web install package is that it reduces the size of initial download and the installation process downloads only the resources you choose to install.
Note:
The Web install requires an Internet connection during the installation process.
* Full DVD Contents .zip file: This archive file contains the Installation Manager launchpad program and a local copy of all the installable resources. The benefit of using the local install package is that it allows the installation to proceed without an Internet connection. This is not a self-extracting .zip file.

you can download the full version from http://www-01.ibm.com/software/awdtools/rtc/standard/

If you are using the web install which seems to be the default jazz.net download then you need to start installation manager and ensure under file preferences that the check repository for updates check box is ticked.

Hope this helps.

Ok, I understand what you want to say, but few more things...

I have already installed RTC and Jazz Server Edition version 1.0.1. Which package for RTC 1.0.1.1, and from which site I must download, because, I downloaded zip archive, and when I extract whole archive, update process in installation manager looks for diskTag.inf files or repository.config, and I can't find it anywhere!

can you write me the process what you did and how did you upgraded version 1.0.1.1?

Thanks,

Milan
