Can Baseline Importer keep a user information who made a certain change set in ClearCase?
Hi,
Can Baseline Importer keep a user information about who made a certain change set in ClearCase? I have read following information and I think it may be difficult to do. ClearCase Synchronizer limitations and known problems Thank you in advance. Natsumi |

No, the baseline importer cannot migrate user information from CC to RTC. However, the version importer can. Pls refer:

Note that the explanation in the on-line doc isn't quite correct ... as Masa says, the CC version importer provides a mapping capability, so it isn't true that OS users cannot be mapped to RTC users. I've submitted work item Fix doc explanation for why the synchronizer does not import the version owner field of a version (299266) to get this corrected. In particular, the reason the CC Synchronizer (and CC Baseline Importer) cannot do this mapping is in RTC, users are associated with change sets, not individual versions, and a change set created by the CC Synchronizer contains multiple versions commonly created by different users, so it would be ambiguous which of those users to select as the owner of the change set. The CC Version Importer generates one change set per CC version, so the owner of the imported RTC change set is unambiguous.
