How to track defects movement in RTC on daily basis?

In my project we need to generate a report on daily basis in which we numerate all the defects which get moved from:

1. Development --> Validate

2. Validate --> Close

3. Validate --> Re-Open

Can someone please let me know how I can achieve this. This is a very important requirement for us and puts implementation of RTC in our project at stake.

There are a reports that will provide the trend of the work item in open, in progress or closed states. Have you had a look at open vs closed work items report??
