Is there any document about definition of work item link type?

Hi,

Is there any document about definition of  work item link type?

I know following documents which are about CLM link type. But I want to know about link types' specification in relationships between RTC workitems.

https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/CALMLinkTypes

https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/CALMRelationshipExamples

Thank you in advance

Looks like Blocks/Depends on does not have any semantics. There is no constraint.

 Reify Link Constraints (160335)

Some use cases are considered such as schedule dependency but it's under investigation. So they are flexible in terms of how these are links are used at customer site. I believe it is possible to add semantics to these link types vy adding server extensions.

Can you give an example of a work item link type for which you want a definition? Some of the link relationships are OSLC based and thus, more information can be found at open-services.net/‎

In addition to Rosa's answer.  You can find the RTC's own vocabulary (e.g. com.ibm.team.workitem.linktype.parentworkitem.parent) in this page.

 https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/RtcCmVocabulary

This is a full list of name space used in the RTC workitem. Some links are valid, some are invalid.

Rosa and Takehiko,

Thank you for your answer. I'm so sorry for the delay in my response.

I can not understand especially about "Blocks/Depends on" and "Contribute to". To specify my question,  I have read information center again and verified behavior.

  • For example, Children/Parent has feature to use precondition in process configuration. How about "Bloks/Depens on" and "Contribute to"  ?
  • Is there any limitation or  characteristic? (functional aspect)
  • Is there any assumed usage scenario?

*Back ground:We are going to develop a rule regarding relationship between workitems.

Thank you in advance.

Thank you for your answer. I can not understand especially the rules around link types. What are pre-conditions for use each links. For example : If a work item have a link Parent, I can't add other Parent. I Understand this rule, but in other links cases as Blocker/Depends On , Predecessor/Successor, etc. Exists a documentation about this?
