Version controlling windows hidden files

Hi,

My customer is in the process of adopting RTC. One of the projects have hidden files as source files.

Is there a way to version control those files?

I have tried adding a hidden file to source control and succeeded but when reloaded the file (to my sandbox), the hidden attribute disappeared.
