scmtools sharing files with metadata

Hello

RE: Importing CMVC source into Jazz

In the absence of a CMVC connector/bridge/importer, I thought that I
might create a script to get a list of CMVC files with their version
numbers, and their text/binary attributes and use Jazz's scmtools to
'share' each file with Jazz.

But apparently Jazz's scmtools can only share a directory (unless I've
missed something) and there's no way, that I can see, to assign each
file certain attributes (like text-ness) or other metadata (like the
file's CMVC version number).

Are there any plans to enrich your command-line tools to address needs
such as this ?

The 1.x command line doesn't provide a way to change file attributes. This may come in 2.0. At the very least you will have control over the default types assigned to files, based on file name.

The current work around is to use the GUI to set initial values, deliver the changes, and then use the CLI for day to day work.
