Achieve the exact order of tasks schemed in MS Project

 Hi,

The RTC-MSP import does not consider the planned start date of the imported work item, since the schedule of a work item after import depends on a number of factors. You can take a look at the article
-
https://jazz.net/library/article/1150
for more details on how the import works, in case you have not yet seen it.

The schedule generated after the import is not the same as in Project but is dynamically calculated by Rational Team Concert. For details on what factors influence the schedule see:
https://jazz.net/library/article/663

Is it possible to shift the tasks seen in RTC as we wished (manually) OR configure/change the predefined factors in order to achieve the exact order of tasks schemed in MS Project?

What do you suggest to get a clear task sequence in RTC? Do we have an  alternative plan?

Hi Kunal,

Depending on the sort order in MSP, you can change your plan view and options in RTC so that it is the same as in MSP. If you have a certain order that cannot be sorted by attribute you can use ranking:
