Enhanced ClearCase Importer in RTC 4.0.3 - What it means for Base ClearCase import

RTC 4.0.3 is advertised to have ClearCase Multi-branch Importer Improvements. Can anyone explain in detail what implications that has (over version 4.0.2) for importing Base ClearCase Source Code with History?

Every RTC release has a "New and Noteworthy" page on the release page.
For 4.0.3, that is:
