Marcin ZajÄ…c (3163) | asked Dec 19 '08, 7:48 a.m.
I create a new raport template (https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/ReportsCreatingANewReport). When I click 'Preview' I get following error:

Chart NewChart:

+ An exception occurred during processing. Please see the following message for details:
Cannot convert the parameter value {0} to type {1}.
Invalid data type.

can anyone help me with this?

Hi MZ,

Sorry for the delay, people have been away on holidays.

I just tried the steps described in that page, and when I got to the end
of the "Creating the Report" section, I clicked the Preview tab in the
BIRT report editor, and I see the chart in the preview area. Is there
more information available about the error? What version of RTC are you
running?

Thanks,

james

Try deleting the data set parameters from data set editor parameters page. They will be recreated the next time you reenter the page. Do this whenever you deselect or select parameter fields from the Jazz set editor.
