How to share new files/folders added to an Eclipse project

Brian Gillan (3215330) | asked Dec 17 '08, 10:31 p.m.
I've set up an Eclipse project and shared it to get it into RTC source control. I would have thought that to add new files or folders, I would simply create them in my resources view and the parent directory would be versioned to contain the new entries. It doesn't seem to, and selecting the file or folder and context menu doesn't list any actions that will place it under source control. What am I missing?

if the parent is already checked into the workspace then adding new files and directories or modifying existing ones will be reflected in the pending changes view. These will be placed in the unresolved directory.

I think the "Managing change and releases" section on the RTC help has more on this topic but I can't find the specific topic that discussed this.

This "tutorial" should get you up to speed very rapidly:

Yes, That's what I would have thought. The project I'm working in is

already under RTC source control. When I view the resources view, all of
the original folders and files are decorated with the little "disk" on
the icons. But when I add a new folder or file to the project, it gets
added as a regular file or folder, and there's no change to the Pending
Changes view.

There must be a disconnect somewhere.

Never mind, I think somehow my pending changes view became unlinkned. I
clicked on refresh and all of my new additions became pending changes.
