How do you change legend colors in Rational Insight to match bar colors being used ?

When making a custom report using bar chart we have changed the default colors for the bars to colors our users prefer.  The color bars behave as we expect but the legend that describe the bars the colors are not correct.  We can see how to change the foreground or background of the legend area but we thought the colors should match the representation of the bars (same thing happens in line charts as well I believe).  Is there a way to specify this or is this a defect?
