Why is my template change not showing up?

I created a new process template, with a new work item (ToDo), created an editor presentation with one tab, one section and the fields / presentations: Created By, Due Date, and Importance. When I created a new project area based on that and went to fill out and save the ToDo work item, I got an error message saying that the Filed Against category did not have a team area associated with it. So I went back and added a Filed Against field / presentation to the Editor Presentation that I had bound to the ToDo work item. But the change isn't showing up. I even tried binding the ToDo work item to a different Editor Presentation (the default one, com.ibm.team.workitem.editor.default), and again, I see no changes.

Why aren't my changes showing up?

When you create a project area from a template, that template's process
is copied to the project area. From this point on, the project areas
process evolves independently.

If you want to update the project area's process to match the new
version of your process template, you can just copy/paste the "Process
Configuration Source" between the two.

Hi Mark
The message about the missing category appears when the root team area has no category assigned. To assign a category, go to the Project Area editor, tab 'Work Item Categories', (optionally create an additional category on the left side) and assign a Team Area from the right side to the category.
Then, saving work items should work, even without a Filed Against field (as I assume that you did not configure a required property for Filed Against).

And as Jared mentioned, once a Project Area is created, changes to the underlying template have no effect. Copying the Configuration Source between the template and the project area only works when you did not change or add icons.
