DB2 user/admin privilege

Anders Malmberg (1121214) | asked Dec 05 '08, 4:35 a.m.
Hi,
Installed RTC trial on db2 using the Rational Information Center for RTC 1.0.1. The example points out that you should use the db2admin user. The DBA will hardly accept this in the production environment.

Does anybody knows how to create a new user account that could be used instead of the db2admin? I am looking for an account with user restrictions, not a new db2 admin user. Which are the minimum privilege the user must have?

Best Regards
Anders

If you are trying to use a non-admin DB2 user, the user needs to be able
to create and drop tables and schemas in the database that you are
using.

Alternatively, if you could get your DBA to run repotools as the admin
user whenever you needed him to, you should be able to run your Jazz/RTC
server with just the ability to read/write into your DB.
