license-profile.ini and profile.ini files are overwritten

4 answers

The values contained in the profile ini files are a url and feature id.
Neither of these values have changed between 1.0 and 1.0.1 so the
overwrite is harmless.

After RTC1.0.1 upgrade from 1.0, I noticed that both
license-profile.ini and profile.ini files were overwritten.
Did anyone notice this as well?
Thanks.

Thanks, Richard.
We had worked hard with Rational on Creating Windows Services to run Jazz server. It seems that the information is now moved to a new page (see below). One step in the procedure is to update these two ini files. RTC 101 overwrites them and RTC Windows Services cannot be started properly without re-making the changes or copying back the backup files. This was true true at least in my case. I have several other RTC instances to upgrade. I will see whether this is also true.

Ah Ok, in this scenario I can see where this would be a bad thing. I am
assuming you used Install Manager to do the server upgrade from 1.0 to
1.0.1. If this is the case I would suggest opening a defect to make sure
this does not continue to happen in the future.
