Hi,
We are upgrading Build Forge and need to test all the projects on the new instance. Deployments need to continue on the old instance though, so we have both engines running simultaneously (with an additional server license). I was pleased to see the same BF agent (running on a Windows server) can be controlled by both BF engines at the same time. Is this supported though? Thanks, Jozef |

Yes, the agent side is dumb to who exactly is requesting the build, so it can handle all types of requests simultaneously. Just don't point mismatched version engines to the same database, that's where bad stuff can/will happen.

Awesome! I would have said "the agents are smart enough to keep those requests separate"! :) We do have separate databases by the way. Thanks a bunch, Jozef Good point, but this way users won't be worried about BF agents rising up against them. |
