Is RTC 1.0 client fully functional with a 1.0.1 Team Server?

Maurice Forte (46106) | asked Nov 19 '08, 5:41 p.m.
I am planning an upgrade of my JTS from 1.0 to 1.0.1 and wanted to know if the 1.0.1 server is backwards compatible with the 1.0 clients. All my customers will not be able to upgrade their clients to the 1.0.1 level by the time i perform the server upgrade. Will 1.0 clients be fully functional(checkins, checkouts, etc.) after upgrading my server to 1.0.1? I do understand that the 1.0 clients might not have access to the new functionality but are there other limitations that we need to be aware of?

1.0.1 JTS is backwards-compatible with 1.0 clients. The only reason to
roll-forward the clients to 1.0.1 is to take advantage of fixes/enhancements
available in those clients (which are compelling, IMO).
