RQM does not show testsuite execution results.

RICHA AWASTHY (18257) | asked Mar 06 '13, 1:36 a.m.
A client is using RQM version 4.0. He has been executing testcases and test suites on multiple systems.
There have not been any change to the systems. He started facing an issue since last week.
He is executing test suites and do not get any results though the test execution state is 100% complete.

What I have figured out during remote session is that if the test suite is being executed on the same system, the results are shown.
So this has something to do with how the execution results are passed on from one system to another.

Has anyone come across such issue and any inputs to resolve this ?
Appreciate any pointers to make progress.

What kind of test scripts they are using? Do they use an adapter to run the test script remotely?

Hi Cheyue,
Client was using RFT scripts and was using adapter to execute the scripts remotely.

Hi Richa,

Please check if the user (who is connecting adapter to RQM) has atleast "Rational Quality Manager - Connector" license and has all permissions for "Quality Management" in the project and team configuration.
Also please collect and check the adapter logs.

Let me know, if this helps.

Thanks,
Vijay.

Hi Vijay,
Thank you for the inputs. Client was using RFT scripts. We generated the adapter log and that suggested permission issue. After assigning the permission, we could get pass the issue.
However, the client has a concern that in such cases, RQM ui should provide appropriate message rather than getting stuck at 100% for test execution.
Thanks
