Floating licenses

Jeremy Hughes (2164837) | asked Nov 18 '08, 8:08 a.m.
Hi,

I have a question about how floating licenses work. With 1.0.1, it is
possible to have >250 users defined - because the number of contributors
is unlimited. There is a maximum number of regular developer CALs (250)
which means under that scheme only 250 users can be do development work.

With floating developer licenses, is it possible to have >250 of the
users able to do development work (but max out at 250 concurrently)?

Thanks,
Jeremy

I think you are describing the behavior exactly right. With floating
CALs it is possible to assign more than 250 users Developer CALs, but
only 250 (or the number of floating CALs you have purchased) can
concurrently use the server at one time.
