Build Forge Agent compability question

Hi,

We're upgrading our ancient 7.0.2 BF install to the latest version. This is quite an undertaking and it has to be done in a bunch of phases (first to 7.1.1.3, then to 7.1.3.4, first the projects, then the history)

My question is: are the BF 7.0.2 Agents compatible with the latest version of the BF engine?. Or are the latest versions of the Agents compatible with the 7.0.2 version of the engine?
Asked in a different way: are the BF agents backwards compatible with the Engine or is the Engine backwards compatible with the Agents or are the two not compatible at all??

It would be great if we would not have to upgrade both the Engine and all the Agents (we have them on Windows, Linux and Z/OS clients) at the same time.

Thanks!

Jozef
