Rational Quality Manager Copy Utility between version 4.0 and 4.0.1

Anthony Paul (7021821) | asked Feb 27 '13, 8:29 a.m.
 Hi,

We are looking to migrate our RQM artefacts between our Pilot environment and our new Production environment.

We haven't created our production environment yet but the plan is to run RQM 4.0.1.

In our Pilot (RQM 4.0) we have some data in a project we want to migrate over. Is it possible to use the Copy Utility between these two versions. I know it states it doesn't support copying between versions but as 4.0.1 looks like a minor version was wondering if it did.

Thanks

As what it states, it doesn't support cross version migration, since the artifacts of different versions may have changes and also the API may have changes. Even if the changes between the two version are small, as long as it affects the schema of the artifacts, the copy tool may still fail.  Can you upgrade your RQM 4.0 and then do the migration?
