How do I migrate to the RQM cross-project ETL?

Our Insight server is running with the 'old' ETL method for RQM, where it queries per project and we'd like to migrate to the new 'cross-project-etl-alternative' ETL method.  I know there is an ETL job that will perform the migration, but which XDC file should I have enabled while I run the migration job - the old version or the new cross-project version?   I wasn't able to find any documentation on this to help.
