User admin role?

Hi, I'd like to have someone responsible for adding / archiving users to
a Jazz repository, but I'd like them to be disallowed from making other
Admin like changes - e.g. process configuration changes. Is this
possible? If not, perhaps it could be done with something like a
JazzUserAdmins role?

Many thanks,
Jeremy

There are 2 types of permissions supported by Jazz - System permissions like JazzAdmins, JazzUsers, JazzGuests and JazzDWAdmins and Process permissions. Using process permissions, you can control individual operations (in a project or a team area) that a user can perform. The system permission are used for operations that fall outside of the project / team area (for e.g.creating / archiving users / importing users). System permissions are also used to determine whether a user can basic read / write access to the system. For e.g. JazzGuests should not be able to create a work item.

If you wish to have a user responsible for user creation / archive operations, assign her the JazzAdmins role. But the user should not be part of any project / team area.

I think Jeremy's concern is that the JazzAdmin role also grants
administrative permissions over project and team areas.

At this time, there's no way to allow someone to create users but
disallow them from making other administrative changes.
