I created a sandox CLM installation for a customer this morning and have gotten the same error twice when creating the Money that Matters Sample:

Error creating the sample: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read Timed Out

The configuration is:

WAS V8.0.0.5, CLM V4.0.1, Using WAS for the user repository, Derby

It failed both times at 69% completion during the creating CCM assets phase. Otherwise, the CLM environment appears to be behaving normally.

Has anyone seen this before?

How long it took you get to 69% and what kind of hardware are you running on?

It may be that your environment / hardware is slow or that you do not have enough memory.  The Money that Matters sample creation has a timeout value that you may be hitting.  The following article explains how to extend the timeout value.  It was written for the RM application, but would also apply to any application.
