Is there any keyword expansion mechanism in RTC source control?

I have been asked if there is any support for "sccs id" like mechanism in RTC source control.  This is particularly needed for shell script and test case source code that is built on machine under test.  The tester would like to know what version of the code they are testing with and the lineage of the code.

As of RTC v6.0.5  and forward we do now support keyword expansion in the RTC SCM.

David, as far as I can tell there is not. This has come up several times and there are good reasons for not having it. One suggestion is to use the build ID (which has a related snapshot) for that kind of things. You can store the date even in a file during build.

If you feel this is not enough, https://jazz.net/jazz/web/projects/Rational%20Team%20Concert#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.viewWorkItem&id=43191 tracks the request and you can add your support there.
