Repository Connection Failed
I'm trying to connect to create a repository connection, but the connection is failing. Assuming the URL is https://myproject.ibm.com:9443/jazz/ the create attempt is failing almost immediately. After the second retry, a popup appears with the title Repository Connection Failed, whose message reads:
Unable to find server 'https://myproject.ibm.com:9443/jazz/'. The details for the message state: CRJAZ0099I HTTP error "java.nio.channels.UnresolvedAddressException" accessing https://myproject.ibm.com:9443/jazz/service/com.ibm.team.repository.common.internal.IRepositoryRemoteService. However, if I visit https://myproject.ibm.com:9443/jazz/ through a browser, the web interface appears properly. So any suggestions on what's wrong here? Our local RTC expert is at a loss to explain this. |

Hello,
I have encountered a similar behavior where some Firewall settings were preventing the Client to connect properly, whereas the Web UI worked ok. We verified the Windows (if relevant) firewall, the Symantec Client Firewall settings - still the same issue. We finally figured that the Checkpoint Integrity Client was still installed and active, and was preventing the Client to connect to the server. When I used the IP address instead of the hostname for the repository connection, it succeeded. I couldn't tell you why this works, but it does!
