packet size between the server and clients

ryosuke oka (17994648) | asked Nov 09 '12, 1:07 a.m.
My client want to know packet size between the server and the clients.

Dose RTC send a fixed packet size all the time?
or The size of packet is depending on what we send to the server (base on the transaction of the client) such as attachment or source file are bigger than just a text update?

The customer need to know what size they are expecting to see to measure their bandwidth for their site.
And if there is any way to limit the size, please let me know (I could not find any related info).

Thank you!

Apart from the discussion of MTU (Maximum Transfer Unit) under TCP/IP, there is size limit in the attachment (50MByte), and query result (1000) which can be adjusted  in advanced properties page.

RTC V4 comes with performance health check.

Customer can try it. For example, install RTC on their data center, then connect from home or using mobile equipment (such as LTE).
