Plan Modes: is there a risk to modify the generated ID in the XML file

I've created several view (Plan Mode) and promoted them. Unfortunately those have a ugly ID (_0C9IMeFtEeGsnuGzmtkOYQ)

This ID is then used in Plantype and Planmode XML definition

My Questions:

  1. is there a way to change this ID using any UI
  2. if not, is there a risk to change that in the XML file

Ideally we do not recommend changing the process spec XML directly.
The scenario of changing the ID is not something that is tested and I do not think its a good thing to do.
Please create a new Enhancement with all the details and how you want this feature to be at:

Hi Aradhya I know :-), but the are some changes, specialy in this area, which can not be done on any UI. I've created a a new enhancement request https://jazz.net/jazz/web/projects/Rational%20Team%20Concert#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.viewWorkItem&id=229427
