Migrating auto-numbering from Word to RRC

Brian Ronan (211010) | asked Aug 15 '12, 3:39 p.m.
Currently we use Word docs to store and manage our software requirements and we use the auto-numbering feature in Word to show dependencies and hierarchy (i.e. 1, 1.1, 1.2, 1.2.1, etc.).

Has anyone used this numbering scheme in RRC? Is it feasible?

Hi Brian,

Rational Requirements Composer 4.0.1 Milestone 2 includes a new artifact format called Module. A module is a structured document that is composed of multiple artifacts. You can create structure in the module by modifying the order and hierarchy of the artifacts.

To find out more about modules please look at this earlier RRC new and noteworthy

https://jazz.net/downloads/rational-requirements-composer/milestones/4.0RC0?p=news#modules

or the web client for DOORS Next Generation Beta

https://jazz.net/downloads/rational-doors/betas/4.1Beta3?p=news#webclientmodule02

It will also be possible to import a word document and create either a rich text document or a module depending upon your need.
