Suggestions for converting from old multi-select to new 4.x style

 With the addition of formal multi-select fields that play nice with queries and things I would like to convert from the old style of multi-select editor control and enumeration tied to string to the new type for this.

 Sounds like they we need to do a value copy to switch between attributes, any other suggestions ?
