How secure is it to transfer attachments?

We have CLM setup in distributed environement. We have users across the glob who will use CLM 4.0.

CLM 4.0 will be delployed only at one instance (Only in one region (Say R1)) and all users across glob will
access only this instance i.e R1. These users may transfer attachments i.e. some reference document (pdf, doc, ppt etc) in this instance.

Could you please let us know how secure is it to transfer attachments over https - Is it encrypted or normal?
