Admin -> Advanced Properties Userids
Hi,
I'm looking for guidance on changing the 'Advanced Properties' in the Admin dialogue.
As part of the install I disabled the default ADMIN userid and created a new administration userid ('JazzAdmin').
I now notice that the Advanced Properties contain multiple entries with a Task Id of 'ADMIN'.
Is there any guidance as to:
-Which properties need the Task ID changing?
-What to change the Task ID to? (maybe a different userid for each main area e.g. Build System / Core Repository Component?)
Apologies if this is documented somewhere but I haven't been able to find it.
Thanks

When you disable the ADMIN user you are really just disabling the
ability of somebody to login as ADMIN. Background tasks can still run
as ADMIN, so you shouldn't need to change any properties that references
the ADMIN account.
We recommend you disable the ADMIN user so that operations performed on
the system can be attributed to a specific person. I'm curious about
your choice of the new user, 'JazzAdmin'. We're still trying to
understand the different approaches that people take when administering
a system. Was there a reason why you didn't give admin access to a
'real' user account?

Hi,
Thanks for the response, very helpful.
As for the choice of a generic JazzAdmin userid rather than a real person's userid, this is basically just a local standard, as admin activity tends to be shared between different individuals.
(Also the install process pointed me in this direction, as when it prompts you to disable ADMIN, it asks for a single userid to use instead. I appreciate this is more a psychological than a technical point, and in theory we could have allocated multiple individual userids as administrators)
Thanks again.

Thank you, I had exactly the same question!
