Unable to add members to a lifecycle management project and access the manage lifecycle project

First off, I have administrative permissions in the RQM tool and for the lifecycle project that I had created. So, I know that any of the following issues is not a permissions issue.

Yesterday, I noticed that I could no longer do anything, but view my quality management project associated with my lifecycle project so I went into the manage lifecycle project area for my created project and no longer had any members associated with the project. When I tried to add a member/role, it wouldn't allow me to add myself as a member.

So today I tried to see if I could add members to my lifecycle management project and found that when I either go into the Management Lifecycle Project or the Lifecycle Project Administration I receive the following error message:

The webpage you are viewing is trying to close the window.

Do you want to close this window?

Obviously, if I click the Yes button it closes. However, if I click the No button the dialog dissappears and a blank window remains. It fails to reload or do anything.

How can I regain access to my lifecycle project administrative tools?

Hi Jennifer,

I'm a developer of the Lifecycle Project Administration application.

>> First off, I have administrative permissions in the RQM tool and for the lifecycle project that I had created. So, I know that any of the following issues is not a permissions issue

You probably have the right permissions since you were able to create a lifecycle project in the past, but for future reference, the key thing to have to use LPA is the JazzAdmins repository permission, which is specified in the page to manage your user in the /jts/admin UI, and not specific to any project area.

>> When I tried to add a member/role, it wouldn't allow me to add myself as a member.

I'd be interested in what the behavior was or what error was presented, if any.

>> So today I tried to see if I could add members to my lifecycle management project and found that when I either go into the Management Lifecycle Project or the Lifecycle Project Administration I receive the following error message: The webpage you are viewing is trying to close the window.

The only time I've observed a dialog like this is when the clocks for the server and client were out of sync by more than a few minutes. For example, see Can not log on to LPA on IE and Chrome browsers on server with server/OS time mismatch greater than five minutes (212585). Based on the comments (eg. #28), this will be addressed for some browsers in a post-4.0 update, and there are plans to address the problem for all browsers (IE).

If the problem is not explained by a clock mismatch, you will probably want to contact IBM Support who will diagnose the problem further using logs, etc...
