RRC Migration to 4.0

Canberk Akduygu (99237371) | asked Mar 22 '12, 11:30 a.m.
Hi,

I am working with a customer with RRC 3.0.x implementation and we changed the whole process template with different roles and permissions.

Now that we will have RRC 4.x in a short time, there will be reqIf,suspicsion states permissions in the new process template. How is this new process template will be applied to the old one?

I believe when we first migrate 3.x to 4.x, our process template will migrate too and new permission will also be added but they won't be checked. We will have to enable them projects by projects, right?

I am asking this question earlier so that I plan this transition earlier.

I also tries to migrate the 3.x data to 4.0beta but I failed. I tried it three times but I always had different messages. s there any new steps for RRC migration that I haven't seen in clm help.

Hi,

The process template will be upgraded, as will process permissions in existing projects.

The new permissions will be added to your existing projects, and the default role assignment would be the same as that for a new project. In this case, the 'Author' and 'Administrator' roles would have permissions defined.
