Work item type not available in Visual Studio client
![]()
Hi,
I have a strange problem in Visual Studio client Use case 1: In a project area where I am an administrator, when i click on Work Items->New->Work Item, I get a popup where I can select the work item type I want to create. No problem Use case 2: In a project area where I am NOT an administrator, when i click on Work Items->New->Work Item, I get a popup with empty list. I cannot create a work item via Visual studio client The behavior is seen only in Visual Studio client. Eclipse and Web works perfectly fine Environment: * Visual Studio 2010 Professional Trail version with Service Pack 1 * RTC Plugin 3.0.1 for Visual Studio * RTC 3.0.1 CCM & JTS Any idea if this is a bug? Note: I eve reinstalled the plugin but has same effect Reagrds Karthik Krishnan |

![]() Hi, It could be some configuration issue. Can you please check the following: 1. You have been assigned a role in the project area. 2. The role that has been assigned to you has permissions to create workitems. 3. You are added as member in both Project Area and Team Area. The following post may also give you some lead: https://jazz.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=11783 |
