Attribute Customization online help

Hi,

Is there any help for the Attribute Customization?
How to write the condition js?

The requirement is if work item A has parent or depend work item B, if the depend work item B does not complete, this A can not start.
Can Attribute Customization fullfill this req?

Hi, this is a good starter https://jazz.net/library/article/565

Your requirement can not be addressed with scripting however, as far as i can tell. You would have to write a server side advisor. Here is a starter for that: https://jazz.net/library/article/784

Thanks for your reply rschoon.
Further more, how can I know the scripting scope?

And if one reqirement of "if one attribute A changed, the other attribute B can changed according some rules", I thinks this req can be fullfilled by scripting, right?

Hi, scripting is not official supported. You can search the site and find hints in the advanced search. this article provides you with some basics and links to additional material. https://jazz.net/library/article/537

There are dependent attributes for what you look for. However it is still pretty limited if it comes to complex attributes such as contributor (user) and other IItems.
