"Clone" a RTC Project to another RTC Instance

What is the best way to "clone" a project from a "production" RTC (v3.0.1) instance to a "test" RTC (v3.0.1) instance?

Hi Michael,

We don't support such an operation directly. You could generate a process template from the original project (in eclipse), and then make a new project based on that template in the second instance. This will only copy the process configuration for the second project area though.

Parker,

Thank you for your response. My goal is to validate an existing project that is to be changed to inherit its process from a newly created master project. That master project will be created with a modified process template (as described in https://jazz.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=22484). I need to have the contents of the existing project in the "test" RTC instance to perform this validation and to determine how to change the existing work item records to be in line with the new process template.

How do users migrate a project from a shared RTC instance to a stand alone RTC instance, from one hardware platform to another, etc?

Thank you,
Mike Whitner
