*.dll is not a valid Win32 application.

Hello.

I've been running into problems while installing Rational Insight 1.1, downloaded from jazz.net. It is my first time doing it, so it might be my fault. I started doing it all automatically, but once I got the error, I uninstalled and did it manually, got the same error.

The errors from SystemOut.log:
0000001a extension E com.ibm.wsspi.webcontainer.extension.WebExtensionProcessor createServletWrapper Error occured while preparing the servlet for initialization.
javax.servlet.ServletException: SRVE0207E: Uncaught initialization exception created by servlet
at com.ibm.ws.webcontainer.servlet.ServletWrapper.init(ServletWrapper.java:434)
at com.ibm.ws.webcontainer.servlet.ServletWrapperImpl.init(ServletWrapperImpl.java:169)

Caused by: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: JCAM_Crypto_JNI (C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\Rational Insight\cognos\bin\JCAM_Crypto_JNI.dll is not a valid Win32 application. )

And the same thing later with:
Caused by: com.ibm.rcl.ibmratl.LicenseConfigurationException: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: rcl_ibmratl (C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\Rational Insight\cognos\bin\rcl_ibmratl.dll is not a valid Win32 application. )
null

The key here is that I'm installing it in a x64 Windows, and in a Websphere v7 with jre x64.

What I did:
I'm installing it in two systems, one DB2 data warehouse server (done and fine) and one report server. I followed "Installing report server manually" (went fine) and after Configuring after manual installation of the report server.

I get stuck after starting the IBM Cognos web application (step 11), because I couldn't get into the /reporting/servlet/dispatch. The Systemout.log listed the errors above.

I found this blog with the exact same problem: http://cogserver.blogspot.com/2012/01/64-bit-mashup-cognos-on-websphere.html .Of course, I changed both PATHs to /bin64/, and I got:
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: JCAM_Crypto_JNI (Not found in java.library.path)

Which makes a lot of sense, the DLL is not on /cognos/bin64/.

Any help?

You have to use the websphere 32 bits.

Ok thanks.

I can't find any help related, Do you know if it is possible to change the jre of one profile, or do I have to install another websphere?

Insight 1.1 can only deploy to the Webshpere 32 bits. And the Insight 1.1 only install the 32 bits cognos. Please modify the Websphere to 32 bits.
