DNG User mangement and authentication question.

Hello,
Following up on last nights meeting. ( 02 Feb 2012 )
My understanding of user accounts in DNG, User accounts, and Teams (Security Groups) their management and authentication will be managed through the DNG interface in Beta versions only.
In our DOORS environment we are using RDS in conjunction with Active Directory to manage our user accounts (Domain IDs) and DOORs groups (AD Security Groups). User passwords are authenticated through the users windows account. All further /other access is handled via the Rich Client of DOORS 9.3
The question we have is whether the Roadmap for DNG does provide the same user authentication and management ability, like our above described (current) production version with RDS or will the user accounts and groups be handled as per the demo yesterday, i.e manually ?

One answer

the underlying Jazz repository supports LDAP directories and can therefore be configured to connect to your corporate directory. We are currently investigating RDS but we do plan to provide you with support in terms of centralised user management.
Summary: you should still be able to have corporate users and passwords managed centraqlly
