change project template

Yaron Norani (47267065) | asked Jan 17 '12, 9:35 a.m.
Hello,

I have a project that was created using the Simple Team Process.
I have also performed some changes and added some custom fields.

I would like to "change" the project to be based on SCRUM template.
I do not want to loose changes or work items.

What is the best way to handle it?

Thanks,

Yaron

You can either try to modify your existing project area process to add
the Scrum template features (this is manual ... no magic), or you need
to create a new project area based on the Scrum template, reapply your
custom field changes, and then move your work items to the new project
area. I would probably do the latter, since you are more familiar with
the changes that you made, than you are with all the changes you would
need to perform to make the existing project area more Scrum-like.

Cheers,
Geoff

Thanks Geoff,

I will create a new project as you suggested.
