iam trying to reuse the link.rptdesign BIRT report in RTC 3. when i try to give a report variable as input in data set parameter, BIRT is throwing error as it is not acceptable in BIRT 2.6.*

Can you please help me..

The report may need to be migrated to the newer BIRT. Here is a WIKI that provides some information about that:
