Where does RTC read time zones from? (Linux 64 server)

I have checked:

tzmappings in /opt/app/jazz/server/jre/lib
zone.tab in /usr/share/zoneinfo

and it appears RTC is not using either of these for its timezone mappings. For example, "Yukon Standard Time" that appears at the end of the timezone drop-down in RTC does not appear in either of the above lists. Where is RTC reading its timezones from? I would like to pair down the list by deleting, for example, all the ETC listings and many others.

I am not sure if this is still the case but RTC in version 2.x used Javas time and not whatever is stated in your OS.

That's what I thought, but if it's not in the /opt/app/jazz/server/jre/lib folder, where is it?

I'm sorry I do not know - there is a bit info on the topic here:

If you have a specific problem I suggest you create a workitem in the development section or contact your customer support.

Hi Mike,

Not sure if this will help for your case, but there is a tool to update the timezones.  Not sure if it can be used to remove available timezones though...
