RTC Synchronization gives 'Missing require license' error

In the RTC Eclipse Client, the following errors show up when right clicking on the synchronization rule and selecting 'Show Unsynchronized':
Save Work Item
Missing required license
An error response was received from the Jazz Team Server. Status=400. Message: CRJAZ1381I The user has a "Contributor" client access license assigned that would normally allow this operation, but the license expired on Nov 20, 2011 3:55 AM. You can install a permanent client access license to re-enable this operation.

We are using RTC 3.0 iFix1

They also appear whenever I try synchronizing work items and prevent synchronizations.

The expiry date refers to our expired trial license, which was replaced with the free developer license. The expired Contributor licenses have not been assigned to anybody. All users are using Developer licenses, so I am not sure why this error would appear.

Seems like others have had similar problems in the past, but there is no confirmed resolution:

Sometimes restarting helps, but it seems to return after some time has passed.
Please let me know if you have any advice.

It sounds like you have assigned your ClearCase Synchronizer account a
Contributor license ... you should have assigned it one of the ClearCase
Synchronizer licenses that come included with the RTC license server.

This is documented in the on-line help topic:
"Creating a synchronization process Jazz account"

Cheers,
Geoff
