Team Server 1.0 Setup Dialog: LDAP entry fields missing
Jazz Team Server (Standard) 1.0 WAS 6.1 DB2 9.5 RHEL5 Linux
Just installed a shiny new Jazz server and configured Bluepages LDAP for WAS. WAS is happy with Bluepages. Installed Jazz.war and started the 'Custom Setup' dialog. When I get the 'Setup User Registry' and I select LDAP and see the text shown below. Basically, the instructions are displayed but the LDAP entry fields are missing. Tried 3 different browsers just in case. Also, in the top-right of the page, the following is displayed: "Loading LDAP settings..." If your organization uses LDAP to centrally manage users and groups and you have configured your application server and LDAP server as described in the server setup guide, choose this option and Jazz Team Server will use your LDAP server for user and group information. Specify the following properties to configure Jazz Team Server to map to users in the LDAP server. <no> Specify the following properties to configure Jazz Team Server to map to groups in the LDAP server. <no> Based on the configuration values provided above, we can compute the remaining LDAP queries. It is recommended that you select the option below to compute the additional queries. You can view and modify the computed settings at any time from the Admin Configuration UI. |

Are you using an old copy of teamserver.properties or the
teamserver.properties bundled with the new server ? Do you see any errors in the server log ? ----- Balaji "David Ward" <davidward> wrote in message news:g5r2ir$81d$1@localhost.localdomain... Jazz Team Server (Standard) 1.0 WAS 6.1 DB2 9.5 RHEL5 Linux |
I don't believe I'm using an old copy but since you've asked,
I can pull the shipped teamserver.properties file and start again. I also have Error 404: ProxyServlet: /jazz errors which I thought might be another symptom of this Balaji Krish wrote: Are you using an old copy of teamserver.properties or the |
I see the following error in the server log:
Error while adding servlet mapping --> /* Please set fileServingEnabled=false in the ibm-web-ext.xmi file which is under WEB-INF folder. Now, I recall that errors like that can happen when the server provisioning isn't setup correctly. Here's my JVM property "com.ibm.team.repository.provision.profile" file:///opt/IBM/JazzTeamServer/server/provision_profiles and my profile.ini contains: url=file:/opt/IBM/JazzTeamServer/server/update-site featureid=com.ibm.team.rtc.server.feature and my license-profile.ini contains url=file:/opt/IBM/JazzTeamServer/server/update-site featureid=com.ibm.team.rtc.server.license.standard-trial.feature Balaji Krish wrote: Are you using an old copy of teamserver.properties or the |
and my license-profile.ini contains This looks wrong. It should be url=file:/opt/IBM/JazzTeamServer/server/license-update-site Richard Jazz Web UI and Server Development David Ward wrote: I see the following error in the server log: |
Thanks Richard
That was it ... it now seems likely that all of 'strange' behavior I've been seeing is caused by a mistake in my profile.ini and my license-profile.ini. In the Official Doc section for "Setting up a WebSphere Application Server" .. Item 1 "Modify the profile.ini and license-profile.ini files:" that narrative must be read carefully. The directory path needs to be updated but filename must remain intact. I didn't realize how critical that was Thanks for clearing that up.
